 BAMA IHRA Sanctioned
(Jan. 10, 2008) -- Bama Dragway announced today it will
be sanctioned by IHRA in 2008, IHRA will bring the ET Summit
Series as well as Street Warz and the IHRA Thunder Jam.
The JAM and Street Warz are scheduled for March and April.
BAMA Hard at Work
(Jan. 7, 2008) --
As you are all working on race vehicles and updating, we at BAMA are
hard at work making things better. During the months of November, December
and January we have been busy making repairs to speakers, Guard Rail, the
entry road, pit road and fencing. We have painted and planted. We have moved
the pit bleachers to the spectator side and are adding bleachers to the pit
side. This Spring, look for pit side concessions.
Midnight
Madness will resume March 1
Saturday nights from 5:00pm to Close
Keep it OFF the streets and run in ideal conditions as often as you can
make it back to the starting line! Cars & Bikes! $10.00 -
Race or Watch.
Because of the cold evenings, safety is becoming an issue for our
Midnight program. For that reason, will resume March 1, 2008.
Sunday weather is much warmer and better, suited for families and race
cars. The gate will be open at 11am with racing starting at noon closing at
about 5pm. The Sunday program will include both Test & Tune as well as
Heads-Up. Admission for the Sunday program will continue to be only $10 race
or watch with Kids under 12 Free.
Sunday Test & Tune Program.
Because our weather is getting cooler in the evenings
and a warm track is important to testing, we will start a Sunday, day Test &
Tune program.
The program will start on November 4th. The Gate will
open at 11am with testing from Noon to 5pm. Admission crew or driver/rider
will remain $10.
Clubs wanting to run a separate program on these
Sundays should
contact Bernie at the raceway or call his cell at
205-706-9011.
Our Midnight Madness will return March 1.

Our Projected Schedule for 2008
is online with schedules available in the T-Shirt & Concessions area.
We have started with a track record program,
those with new and those that beat the records will be awarded a Track
Record Certificate and their names added to our Bamadragway.com web
page.
Started on October 20th, we opened a
Souvenir Shop with the concession stand. We have available, Bama
T-Shirts, Hoodies, Jackets, Caps, Toys, Safety Equipment and Auto Parts. With this opening we will start a giveaway program at our “Midnight Madness”
from 7 to 11pm we will use the numbers off your admission tickets.
